I built a proxy to bypass my school‘s internet filter. This past Friday, I was really annoyed at my school so I set my personal proxy as the homepage of every library computer I could find and bookmarked it. (around 
I now realize that this was a REALLY REALLY stupid idea. What should I do? (take down the proxy, enjoy the free traffic, tell the librarian?)

You should get rid of those favorites as soon as you can, you probably wont get someone at your house to rough you up, but you can bet as soon as the school finds out, they will punish you, then your parents will punish you.

does that mean if i went on the internet and saw a gross picture that they could find out?

Not so much just a picture. What they would look for is file sharing, social sites, and heavy usage to any given site. They would know that pictures may have been sent, but usually they would not see the content. However, if suspicious, they could probably find a copy of whatever was downloaded in a cache of their web proxy (assuming they have one…)

I am looking for a job, and a place is hiring for this. The job description says i would manage website marketing, like search engine oprimization, internet video, blogging, and other things. Also to use traffic tracking apps to recognice patterns and trends to get effective marketing techniques. I would do this freelance since i am 17 and still in school
So what exactly do you do? also it wants examples, so would i need a degree?? and what would examples be?

This job requires someone to help make a website easily found by search engines, so that when someone types keywords into Google, for example, that website is at the top of the search results list.
To do this job well you need to understand how search engines work and how websites are built.
You would need to be able to demonstrate to your manager that you have made changes to the website that are driving more visitor traffic from search engines.
This is usually a job done by someone with a marketing background who understands what potential business customers are searching for, what website design and content changes are most effective and who can stay on top of search engine technology.

air traffic controller in the USAF
i scored an M-47 A-63 G-68 E-64 QT-66
so am i “shoein” for an air traffic controller? granted that i graduate tech school and work hard etc, are these scores good enough to compete with my fellow airmen? or should i think about taking the asvab again and scoring higher? my recruiter says their is no risk in taking it again, and i am elligle to do so if i wish (i took mine last feb of 07) anyway, when do i get my job? after basic? or at the MEPS? do i have a job that is lower than air traffic controller and work my way up? or do i go to tech school for 3 months and become one? is there any difference in rank between myself (after graduating tech school (22 weeks) ) and someone else who has only graduated after 6 weeks? is nicotene gum allowed in basic? and is smoking permitted on base at all? i know i should quit, and i want to, its just so hard. ive cut out other dependencies like caffiene (coffee and sodas) tv, internet any luxury that i know i wont have during basic. also what tips and little nuggets of wisdom do you have to share with me, for my time in basic. things like dont carry lots of money, instead bring a roll of quarters, dont bring an electric shaver… things like that? im really excited about joining and looking forward to serving our country. also… whats with the extended BMT? 8 1/2 weeks now, as compared to 6 weeks, why? thanks in advance

I have weird problem with internet connection at home when I use my laptop?

Details:
The symptom is that internet connection is just fine during daytime until 7-8 pm. Then it goes off. It happens almost exact time everyday. Wireless icon shows strong signal and still connected to wireless network but I just barely get data or browse any website. However, during daytime, it work just fine everyday.
Here is funny thing. If I don’t use my computer, other people at home can work perfectly fine. (3 other computers of friends of mine). When i was not at home or came home late, they told me they had no problem at all. When I turn mine on, it starts to go slow or cannot connect at all. And if I stay at school late and use my computer there, it also has no problem as well.
All of situation seems to rule out any usual problem like heavy traffic in the evening from my internet provider, or my wireless adapter is bad, etc..FYI, I formatted my laptop twice thought it was virus but it didn’t work.
Any advice please??

Clicking ‘repair’ on wireless connection on taskbar does not help either. It will work for at most just a minute or so and die. Again, during daytime, it work just fine everyday.

It is regular DSL connection. It is not a static IP either. We never asked for the static.
Currently we use CISCO router, model WRT54GS2V1. (Before this one, we use Ativa wireless G router. When the problem occurred, we thought it was because of router but apparently it is not. So, this Cisco router is just a few months old only)
Also, the modem is Westell DSL2+, model E90-610030-D6. (this is on the label).
I would really appreciate if you could help me solve this problem or give me some idea. I can’t do my work at all when I’m at home.

About traffic tickets…?
I live in Texas, and I recently got a traffic ticket . I’ve already paid bail and taken defensive driving. Right now, I’m waiting for the thing that the driving school is supposed to mail to me. I think I’m supposed to keep the reciept from that and send the rest to Austin with my request for my driving record am I correct? I can’t remember… If I send for my driving record by internet, how will I know that my record was okay’d before it was sent? I’m a little confused about this since I’ve got about 2 weeks after I get the form from my driving school to get my record to the court.

I don’t know how to help you, because your question makes no sense.
You do not pay bail for a traffic ticket. Bail is only if you have been arrested and is your promise to appear in court.
I would contact your local Municipal Court or the place you took your Driving School. They will be able to tell you the step by step process.
